NFL WEEK 16 PREVIEW

ABSOLUTELY HUGE games this week in the NFL. With the top seed and home field throught on the line in the NFC and AFC. Plus the wildcards in both conferences still haven't been decided with a boatload of teams still in the hunt. Only doing the important games this week.
Last Week-8-6
Overall- 90-46
Baltimore at Dallas- Both teams clinging to wildcard spots at this moment but they have very tenuous leads. The Ravens D was unbelievable until that last drive by Big Ben and the Steelers and probably feel they got robbed and will come out pissed off. The Cowboys are coming off a big win vs the Giants and are closing their stadium. Romo is hurting and I'm sure he'll get even more beat up in this one facing the blitz of the Ravens so that is something to watch. Marion Barber will not be 100 percent so they can't rely on him. Being a Jets fan I'll be voting for the Boys and I think they'll pull it off in a close one. Cowboys 23-16
New Orleans at Detroit- Not important but 0-16! 0-16! Saints in a laugher.
Pittsburgh at Tennessee- The Steelers have run the gauntlet. They have only had breaks in the schedule when they had to play the Browns and Bengals and thats only because they're in their divison. The Steelers D is one of the best I've ever seen and Big Ben makes the plays to help his team win. The Titans don't really scare me at all and I don't think they are even that great of a team no matter what their record is. I mean their QB is Kerry Collins. Steelers 20-16
Miami at K.C.- Here's an upset for ya. The Chiefs have lost 7 games this year by 4 points or less. Seven. They are coming off a horrible loss when they were leading 21-10 with about 2 or 3 minutes remaining at home against San Diego. They will be angry. Keep in mind the Dolphins have won games vs Seattle 21-19, vs Oakland 17-15 vs St. Louis 16-12 and vs S.F. 14-9. Not exactly dominating. They will also be playing in the cold for the first time all year. Thigpen can make some plays. He'll make enough. Chiefs 16-13
Arizona at New England- Semi upset. The Cards have to have some pride in their somewhere right? They have clinched and all but they really don't want to finish 8-8 and make the playoffs do they? They will be 3 games worse than some teams that didn't get in. Cards 24-21
San Diego at Tampa Bay- Chargers stay alive another week. Chargers 28-23
New York Jets at Seattle- 1-3 on the West Coast!! Seattle is too hurt. Jets 31-20
Buffalo at Denver- Come on Buffalo give us a playoff game in Week 17. If the Chargers win and Broncos lose we will have what is essentially a playoff game in S.D. vs Denver for the AFC West Title. Bills 21-20
Philly at Washington- I really really hope 2 of Dallas, Atlanta, or Philly get in. No boring Bucs or Bears please. Eagles 26-13
Atlanta at Minnesota- Can Matt Ryan win another tough road game? Yes he can. Falcons 24-17
Carolina at New York Giants- I still believe in the Giants. Giants 20-17 P.S. It might be snowing.
Green Bay at Chicago- Chicago will stay alive for another week. Bears

NFL WEEK 15 PREVIEW

Great week of football with some absolutely HUGE games on the schedule. The playoff race will look a little clearer on Monday morning. Some teams will be essentailly eliminated while others will take a step closer to the playoffs.

Tampa Bay at Atlanta- one of those HUGE games. Atlanta needs this one more than Tampa does and it would be diffucult for them to get in if they lose. Tampa got run down by DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart of the Panthers on MNF and will now have to deal with Michael Turner of ATL. I think you will see a lot of Turner and small doses of Matt Ryan who struggled against Tampa when they first played. Falcons 24-21

Washington at Cincy- Washington will win but they are done. Redskins 17-10

Detroit at Indy- No shot for Lions. They are goin 0-16. Colts 37-6

San Diego at K.C.- Hey dont count the Chargers out QUITE yet. The Broncos have the Panthers and Bills next, two games that are not gimmes and then face the Chargers on the last day of the season. If the Broncos lose those two and the Chargers win their next two vs K.C. and at Tampa that game will be for the divison. Not sayin it will happen but it isn't impossible. Chargers 28-17

Seattle at St. Louis- UGHHHHHH. Seahawks win it.

San Fransisco at Miami- Miami doesn't dominate any games, almost all their wins were decided by one possession. They have defeated crappy teams lately with scores like 16-12 and 17-15. While the Niners are one of the hottest teams in the NFL. Shaun Hill has been playing great and Mike Singeltary has got his team playing hard. I think the Niners will win and ensure Singeltary will be back for next year. Niners 20-17

Buffalo at Jets- Jets win out and they win the AFC East and get the Number 3 seed because the Broncos aren't going to go 3-0 with how inconsistent they are. It's as simple as that. The Jets have games vs Bills, at Seahawks, and vs Dolphins, those aren't exactly an imtimidating slate of games. The Bills have no offense whatsoever, especially with JP Losman at QB, where he will be Sunday afternoon. Favre has already stated he expects the Jets will be playing in January and this pessimistic Jet fan thinks they will too. Jets 27-13

Tennessee at Houston- The Texans have an explosive offense and are a pretty good team but the Titans are just too physical a team and should run all over the Texans. It will be a close one though. Titans 24-21

Green Bay at Jacksonville- Wow at the beginning of the year who would have thought this game would mean absolutely nothing. Packers win it.

Minnesota at Arizona- Pretty large game for seeding in the NFC playoffs, although the Vikings dont quite have their divison wrapped up yet. I think the Vikes will eventually find a way to get in. Their QB situation is currently up in the air though as Gus Frerrote is injured and Tarvaris Jackson is at QB. That's not a good thing for them as they'll have to be able to score points to beat the Cards. Cards 28-20

Denver at Carolina- Carolina is just playing too well right now and the Broncos are down to their 7th RB. Panthers 24-23

Pittsburgh at Baltimore- Monster game here. Ravens win AFC South is tied. Steelers win they clinch the division. Should be a low scoring smash mouth game. Inexperience on Joe Flacco's part with be the difference. Steelers 16-13

New England at Oakland- UPSET! Matt Cassell has got to be crushed about the death of his father and playing football just a few days after should be extremely diffucult. The Raiders D isn't horrible and I think they'll force enough TO's by Cassel to pull it off. Raiders 17-13

Giants at Dallas- Game means more for Dallas and with Jacobs out they'll win it even with the stupidness of T.O. in the back of their minds. Dallas 26-21

Cleveland at Philly- Philly's hot.

NFL WEEK 14 PREVIEW

Last Week-8-5
Overall-73-35

A shitty slate of games this week but most of them have a team in it thats fighting for a playoff spot.

Jaguars at Chicago- Da Bears in a not so close won. Bears

Minnesota at Detroit- Lions are goin 0-16. Vikes

Houston at Green Bay- Packs D has sucked but thier offense has enough to beat Hou. Packers

Cleveland at Titans- Ken Dorsey= Titans blowout. Titans

Atlanta at New Orleans- Saints are pretty much done. Falcons

Philadelphia at Giants- Not picking against the Giants. G-Men

K.C. at Denver- Beat the Jets should beat KC- Broncos

Miami at Buffalo- I got Buffalo staying alive in Toronto even if its JP Losman at QB. Bills

Jets at S.F.- Favre should have a big day. Jets

New England at Seattle- No shot for the Hawks- Pats

St. Louis at Arizona- Zona clinches. Cards

Dallas at Pittsburgh- Huge game. Supposed to be 26 and snowing at Heinz Field tomorow. Cowboys need a win cuz the Giants are comin to town next week and are in a dog fight for one of the two wildcard spots with whoever doesn't win the NFC South. The Steelers are fighting for playoff positioning with the Jets right on their tails. Marion Barber is out for this one which is huge considering the snowy conditions. But the Boys wouldn't have been able to run on the Steelers D anyway. Look for Romo to throw it 50 some times to victory. I know its not ideal in the snow but look what Cutler did in the rainy Meadowlands last week. Cowboys in an upset

Washington at Baltimore- I really like Joe Flacco's arm. Especially on the deep ball. All of a sudden the Ravens have a really good offense. Along with Flacco's arm they have a three headed rushing attack that is very productive. Their D is awesome as always as well. Not very impressed with Skins either. Ravens win it

Tampa Bay at Carolina- This is a game that qualifies to be on MNF. Not two 4-7 teams playing for nothing. Whoever wins this game gets the NFC South title. Its as simple as that. The loser will have to scratch and claw with the Falcons and Cowboys for a wildcard spot. I'm not sold on the Bucs and just don't think they have enough offense and I like Carolina's offense a whole lot better. Panthers win.

Saturday, November 29, 2008

NFL WEEK 13 PREVIEW

San Francisco at Buffalo- Buffalos got an easy schedule down the stretch and they'll need to win most of them to get into the playoffs. Bills 27-13

Baltimore at Cincy- Ravens creepin up on the Steelers. Ravens 23-10

Indy at Cleveland- Indy's playing its best ball right now, wouldn't want to face them in the first round. That's why the Jets need to get the second seed and a first round bye. Colts 34-17

Carolina at Green Bay- Carolina has really been playing horrible lately and Delhomme has been awful as well. Green Bay is giving up tons of points the last couple games but with Carolina not scoring at all its a good matchup for them. Packers 28-20

Miami at St. Louis- The Rams are a terrible team. Dolphins 24-10

New Orleans at Tampa Bay- Saints need a win and will get Reggie Bush back. Saints 26-23

New York Giants at Washington- Can't pick against the G-Men. Giants 27-17

Atlanta at San Diego- S.D. staves off the inevitable for another week. Chargers 34-27

Pittsburgh at New England- Cassel gets beat up and shows why hes been a backup his whole life. Big Ben comes out with his first big game in a while. Steelers 24-20

Denver at Jets- Should be a shootout and lots of lots of passes. With the only weakness being pass d for the Jets Cutler should have a field day and with Champ Bailey probably out Favre will take advantage. Jets 38-27

K.C. at Oakland- Who cares. Chiefs win.

Chicago at Minnesota- Look for a lot of AD in this one. Winner will take sole position of first place. The winner will be......... Vikings 24-21

Jacksonville at Houston- What a stinker for MNF. Texans win in an upset I guess.

NFL WEEK 12 PREVIEW

Last Week- 11-3

Overall- 57- 25

Tampa Bay at Detroit- I really really dislike the Bucs. I don't really fancy Jeff Garcia and Jon Gruden and Co. They better not make the playoffs because they are a sure 1 and out and to play a boring non competitive playoff game. A win and Panther loss would put the Bucs tied for first place. The Lions and Titans are looking at 11-0 vs 0-11 matchup on Turkey day but I say the Lions don't hold up their end of the deal and Daunte Cullpeper leads the Lions to a big upset. Lions 20-17

Houston at Cleveland- The Browns are still breathing in the AFC Playoff hunt but just barely. Brady Quinn didn't have great numbers in the MNF win at Buffalo but made some big time throws and I like the way he played. He will be playing with a broken finger in this one though. The Browns defense is absolutely horrific. The only reason they don't give up 40 a game is having Shaun Rogers at D Tackle. Their pass D sucks and cannot tackle for shit. I mean every play there are a minimum of two broken tackles on the Browns D. Sage Rosenfals is a turnover maching though so he might make the Browns D look adequate. I'll still go with the Texans and their high powered offense with a big dose of Slaton and some big time catches by Andre Johnson. Texans 30-24

San Fransisco at Dallas- Shaun Hill has done a nice job as a starter and if Mike Martz had the balls to throw on the last play of MNF a couple weeks ago he might be 2-0 as a starter and have the Niners ! still in the NFC West race. Romo was OK on SNF vs the Redskins nothing spectacular but good enough to win. I think Dallas will play their best game of the season and really whip the Niners. Cowboys 34-17

New York Jets at Tennessee- The Jets are looking to make a statement to the rest of the world. Right now they are a good team that no one thinks can really make it out of the AFC. With a win the country will believe they can contend for the title. Farve will need to avoid turnovers. He may have to throw about 40 passes in this one because I dont know how well the Jets will be able to run it on Haynesworth and the rest of the Titan D. This is a pretty good matchup for the Jets though because they have a great run D and that's basically what the Titans need to do to suceed. I think Farve and the Jets have a ton of confidence going into this game and will play loose while the Titans will start to feel the pressure of being undefeated and play tight.

Jets 23-20

Buffalo at Kansas City- K.C. has played very well the last FOUR weeks but haven't won any of those games. How long can they play well but get nothing to show for it? Tyler Thigpen has emerged as their QB of the future and has some weapons in Bowe and Gonzalez along with Larry Johnson to run the ball when hes not getting in trouble. The Bills are coming off a horrible loss and need a win to seriously be considered a contender for a playoff spot. I think they're pretty devestated by their MNF loss and will come out lacking emotion. Chiefs 27-20 in a upset.

Chicago at St. Louis- Bears just got anal raped by the Packers and the Rams continually to get crushed every week so this could be an ugly game. Bears need a win. Bears 24-13

New England at Miami- I hope beyond hope the Dolphins win this game. It could kill the Pats season. Even though I'm a Jet fan I find myself rooting for the Dolphins every week. I don't know what it is, Chad Pennigton maybe or just the fact they were 1-15 last year and are now contending for a playoff spot. Besides how great would it be if the Jets face the Dolphins in the first round of the playoffs at the Meadowlands. Pennington and Parcells back in Jersey and back to back games for the two teams since they face in Week 17. Not real confident in this pick just really want the Fins to win. Dolphins 24-21

Minnesota at Jacksonville- I think the Jags season is pretty much over and I think they can feel it too. AD runs all over the Jags to a victory. Vikes 20-13

Philadelphia at Baltimore- You think Ray Lewis and Bart Scott are gonna be all over McNabb for not knowing there are ties? I do. Just imagine the stuff they'll be yelling at him across the line all game. Ravens 17-14

Oakland at Denver- Could be a huge game for playoff seeding next week Jets vs Broncos nationally televised too with the game moved back to 4:15 Broncos 34-16

Carolina at Atlanta- Huge game here a loss for the Falcons WILL end their season. 3 games back and hoping for a wildcard spot in the NFC is pretty impossible with the beasts of the east lurking. Can Matt Ryan step up in his biggest career start? The Panthers have played terrible games the last two weeks vs the two worst teams in the league. So............... Falcons 27-23

New York Giants at Arizona- I like Zona in this one. Jacobs and Buress aren't at 100 percent. Warner will throw the ball all day against the weakest part of the Giants their pass d.

Cardinals 30-27

Washington at Seattle- Skins need a win they'll get it in a tough game. Hasselback is back so its not gonna be easy vs the Seahawks. They're 2-8 but thats just because of injuries if they had their A team out their they'd be contending. Skins 21-17

Indianapolis at San Diego- Chargers are done. Peyton and Co. are rolling right now. Colts 28-20

Green Bay at New Orleans- Gonna be a high scoring passing kinda game. It'll be fun. Saints are on the respirator while the Pack are in a 3 way tie for first. Not sure who will win this game so I'll go with the better QB. Saints 34-31

Should be a fun week of football. Lot a great games and playoff implications everywhere.

Cleveland at Buffalo- Browns

Saturday, November 8, 2008

NFL WEEK 10 PREVIEW

Last Week 12-2
Overall 39-17

New Orleans at Atlanta- Matt Ryan is good but Drew Brees is better. The Falcons really haven't beaten any GREAT teams this year so I like the Saints on the road in this one. Saints-27-17

Tennessee at Chicago- Da Bears should be without Kyle Orton in this one and that's actually a big loss. Rex Grossman kinda sucks and the Titans should beat the shit out of him and force a couple turnovers. Titans-20-13

Jacksonville at Detroit- The Jags season is on the line in this one. If they lose they will be done. And if they lose they deserve it, because the Lions really really suck. They will have either Cullpepper or a rookie as a starter in this one. Jaguars 24-10

Seattle at Miami- I like Miami a lot. I think they have a pretty good offense with Pennington managing games well and a good backfield duo in Ricky Williams and Ronny Brown. Their front 7 is pretty good as well with Joey Porter having a monster season. Seattle has no one left stading and their season is prety much over. Dolphins 26-16

Green Bay at Minnesota- I like Aaron Rodgers a lot. He's had a much better season then Farve thus far and has the Pack in a good spot to win their divison. Gus Frerotte isn't a QB on a divison winning team and that's what he will have to be for the Vikes to make the playoffs. AD is overdue for a huge game and this might be it but I still like GB. Packers 23-20

Buffalo at New England- Huge game here in the AFC East race. Both teams stand at 5-3 and are tied with the NY Jets!!!!!!! for first place. Bills got manhandled by the Jets last week but the Pats didn't look to good vs the Colts either. I think New England is too banged up and doesn't have enough offense to win this one. Buffalo 16-13

St. Louis at NY Jets- With a win and New England loss the Jets will technically have first place for itself. That's amazing considering how poorly they played the previous 3-4 weeks. It's funny what one huge road win can do for you. The Jets have basically been winning in spite of Farve lately but he is really really due for a huge game. This might be it and even if it isn't the Jets should still win because Stephen Jackson is out. Jets 31-17

Baltimore at Houston- Joe Flacco has been great lately and has shown a good arm for the long ball. The D has been outstanding as usual but the Texans have one of the best offenses in the league. The Ravens running game will be the difference in this one. Ray Rice, McGahee, and McClain will run all over the Texans to a victory. Ravens 24-21

Carolina at Oakland- Not much to say here Carolina is on a way to a first round bye in the playoffs and Oakland could be the worst team in the league. Panthers 34-13

Indianapolis at Pittsburgh- Great game here. Big Ben is questionable but I doubt he misses this game. The Ravens are just a game behind Pitt and they have a semi easy game vs the Texans. Without Ben I like Indy with him I like Pitt. Steelers 27-23

Kansas City at San Diego- All I gotta say is the Chargers better crush K.C. Chargers 38-10

NY Giants at Philadelphia- Here's an upset for ya. Philly will win this game. Eli hasn't been great lately, Plax hasn't done anything and McNabb is talking about how he thinks the Eagles are the best in the divison. He better back it up. Eagles 28-24

San Francisco at Arizona- Terrible MNF game they could have done better than this over at ESPN. How about Indy and Pitt? Tenn and Chicago? G.B. Minn? Buffalo N.E.? You get the point. Only thing worth watching is if Mike Singeltary kills one of his players with his bare hands then pulls his pants down and takes a dump on his chest. Cardinals 34-20

Saturday, November 1, 2008

NFL WEEK 9 PREVIEW

Last Week- 10-4
Overall- 27-15

New York Jets at Buffalo- Farve usually comes up big in big games and this is the definition of a big game. The Jets are a game back of the first place Bills so a win will put them in first place. A loss could be devestating to their AFC East title hopes though. Farve has been terrible since he broke out with 6 TD's vs the Cardinals in Week 5 so he is OVERdue. David Harris will miss this one for the Jets with a pulled groin and thats a big loss because he always puts up double digit tackle numbers every game and is sort of the QB of the defense. The Bills are pretty middle of the pack in both passing and rushing defense so look for a balanced attack by the Jets offense. I like this matchup for the Jets because the Bills like to run the ball but ever since the Jets got Kris Jenkins they've been very stingy against the run. So I've got Jets 24-20

Detroit at Chicago- Detroit sucks and if you look at their schedule they don't play any easy teams the rest of the season. In fact I predict they throw up a goose egg for the season. That's right ZERO wins. Chicago 34-10

Jacksonville at Cincinnati- Bengals suck and Jax desperately need a win. Jags 31-13

Baltimore at Cleveland- I have yet to get a Cleveland game right all year and just dont think a 49 percent passer will fare well vs the Ravens D. Ravens 16-10

Green Bay at Tennessee- Titans aren't going to go undefeated but have been damned impressive so far. Especially considering that Kerry Collins is their QB. I mean Collins couldn't even keep a starting job with the Raiders and now he can QB an undefeated team? Doesn't make sense. Not a good matchup for the Pack seeing how they have one of the worst run defenses in the league while the Titans have the number 1 rushing attack. Titans 24-17

Arizona at St. Louis- Wow give Jim Haslett around of applause. He turned the Rams around in 5 seconds. Since he became head man the Rams have beaten the 6-2 Redskins, the Dallas Cowboys, and lost by a TD to the Pats in New England. With a win they will be a game behind in the NFC West. But, sadly, I don't believe in the Rams and believe in Kurt Warner, who's putting up MVP numbers and has the best WR duo in the league. Cards 31-27

Houston at Minnesota- Interesting game. Two teams looking to be contenders but probably aren't on par with the other contenders. The Texans have the FOURTH best offense in the league. Andre Johnson has been the best wideout in the league so far. He's put up 131, 178, 141, and 143 yards the last 4 weeks. WOW. Schaub has played well. Mario Williams is sacking QBs. The Texans have won 3 in a row. Better make it 4. Texans 28-20

Tampa Bay at Kansas City- Even though the Jets made the Chiefs look like a top 10 team and made Tyler Thigpen look like Joe Montana the Chiefs suck. They are BAD. Really Really bad. Bucs 24-6

Miami at Denver- Here's an upset for you. Pennington is putting up a hell of a season and it looks like the Fins have gotten the better QB. If the Jets had Pennington they'd be 6-1 right now. If the Fins had Farve they'd be 0-7 right now. Denver sucks against the pass and are without Champ Bailey for this one. Joey Porter's got 10.5 sacks and is talking shit just like the old days. A lot to like if your a Fins fan. Dolphins quadruple their win total from last year. Dolphins 30-24

Atlanta at Oakland- Even though the Jets made the Raiders look like a top 10 team the Raiders suck. Matt Ryan is 100 times better than JaMarcus Russell too. Just like to add that.
Falcons 20-10

Dallas at New York Giants- Brad Johnson will get killed in this game. Mark my words. I'm thinking 6 or 7 sacks. Johnson is 40 and immobile whike Kiwaunuka and Tuck are in their 20s and fast as hell. Dallas just needs to get to their bye already. Everyone's wondering whats wrong with the Cowboys but its really simple. Brad Johnson is their QB right now, their top 4 or so defensive backs are out. They'll lose to the G-Men and get to their bye at 5-4 but I refuse to believe they'll miss the playoffs. Once they get healthy they'll run off a 6-1 or 5-2 run and make the playoffs at 11-5 or 10-6. Romo and Felix Jones two of their biggest weapons on offense will most likely be back after the bye and the D-backs should too. Once Romo gets back he'll have T.O, Roy Williams, and Witten to throw to. He'll have Marion Barber and Jones to hand off to. Come on thats scary. They'll make the playoffs. Giants 24-17

Philadelphia at Seattle- Seattle still has a shot. Especially if Hasselback ever gets back. The only reason theyre 2-5 is that they've been unbelievably unhealthy. Frye and Wallace have been their QB the last 4 weeks. In fact at one point Wallace was their number 2 WR. If they could somehow find a way to win this game they will be right in the hunt. But they won't.
Eagles 26-13

New England at Indianapolis- Boy has this game turned into a shit one. No Brady and a crappy Peyton and crappy Colts equals a pretty damn ordinary game. This has got to be the game Peyton goes back to his 400 yard 5 TD ways right? Not quite but they'll find a way to win.
Colts 24-20

Pittsburgh at Washington- Jason Campbell still hasn't thrown a INT. I say that streak will end Monday Night. Clinton Porits has been amazing and may be the MVP of the league right now. I'll say he wont be amazing Monday night. The Steelers are steaming over their loss to the Giants. The backup snapper cost them the game. They hadn't given up anything but FG's until they had to punt from their own end zone and then all hell broke loose. Unless the Redskins can sack the shit out of Big Ben the Steelers will win a low scoring game. Steelers 17-13

Knicks Suck Again

Well the happiness I had with the Knicks lasted about a day and a half. The Knicks go back to their sucking ways in fuckin Phila fuckin Delphia. I hate Philadelphia. The Phillies can go to hell and so can Elton Brand and the rest of the Sixers. Lou Williams and Willie Green can suck it. The Knicks were atrocious on the defensive ending alowing Brand to score at will inside and for Lou Williams to get inside any time he wanted. The little fuck drove by whoever was guarding him and laid it up or pulled up with no one putting a hand in his face. The Knicks need a big man bad to protect the hoop because everyone knows Z-Bo is not that man. The other reason the Knicks got raped was the unabilty to hit an outside shot. They shot in the mid 30s percent for the game and when your a outside shooting team and you cant hit an outside shot you are gonna lose. By a lot. And that is exactly what happened tonight. There were stretches in the late first and early second quarter where the Knicks looked good and looked like they might take control of the game getting as close as 3 but then Lou or Brand would inevitably hit a momentum shifting shot. Fuck you Philly its New Yorks time to shine now. Mets, Knicks, Jets, and hell I'll even vote for the Giants to kick the shit out of the Eagles now just cause their from Philly. Knicks can't let this fuck up the rest of their season, they need to play like they did vs Miami and remember they are capable of winning. Ball movement is key and they really need to play some kind of defense. Knicks vs Milwaukee on Sunday. Should be interesting to see how this team responds.

NFL WEEK 8 PREVIEW

Tampa Bay at Dallas- I like Dallas in this one just because they need a win so bad. Not real confident though. Cowboys 24-20

Washington at Detroit- Detroit sucks. Thats all I need to say. Redskins 27-13

Buffalo at Miami- Being a Jet fan I'm really hoping Sparano can pull out some crazy shit to confuse the Bills and I think he will. The Fins need to freshen up the Wildcat because thats the only real way they have a chance at winning. Bills are playing over their head in my opinion and I think Miami will bring them back down to earth. Dolphins 24-17

St. Louis at New England- All of a sudden the Rams are in the NFC West race! How about that. That is really really unbelievable and shows how bad that divison really is. But all of a sudden the Pats are a juggernaut again having crushed the Broncos on MNF. So......... Pats 20-17

San Diego at New Orleans- A couple of teams i thought would be real good this year that have really underachieved so far. Should be interesting though since its a must win for both and in London. With the Saints most dangerous weapon Reggie Bush out I'll give the more talented team the Chargers a victory. Chargers 34-31

Kansas City at New York Jets- All I have to say about this game is the Jets better crush them. Tyler Thigpen should not be able to pull of some miracle shit against them. Blitz the shit out of this fuck and stop playing so conservative Mantitties. And run up the score too go all Belicheck on their ass. Jets 38-10

Atlanta at Philadelphia- Interesting game here. An overachiever vs an underachiever. Not a good matchup for Matt Ryan the Eagles will blitz the crap out of him and he'll probably make a few mistakes and turn the ball over. Eagles 27-17

Oakland at Baltimore- Fuck the Raiders and their fucking kicker Sebastian Jankiowski. They can all go to hell. Especially that fat fuck coach of theirs Tom Cable. He's the Cable Guy hahahahahaha not fucking funny bitches. I hope the Ravens put a bounty on the left leg of Sebastian and break it in two. OK I'm over last weeks loss now. Ravens 16-10

Arizona at Carolina- A matchup of two first place NFC teams. I really like both of these teams. The Cards have an explosive offense and a great front 7 that can really pressure the QB. The Panthers have a tough grinding running game with the tandem of Stewart and DeAngelo Williams. Delhomme is a winning QB and has a couple of good WRs in Steve Smith and Muhammad. Julius Peppers is back this year and causing trouble. I'll give the edge to the home team here. Panthers 27-24

Cleveland at Jacksonville- I thought Cleveland was back after their drubbing of the Giants. But I guess I was wrong. Jax needs a win to stay in the AFC South race and they'll get one here. Jaguars 24-13

Cincinnati at Houston- The Texans have been playing some shitty teams lately haven't they? They'll get back into the playoff race with a win here. Texans 28-17

New York Giants at Pittsburgh- This is the game of the week. I will watch every second of this game. A matchup of two QBs from the 2004 NFL Draft and two smash mouth defenses. Willie Parker may or may not play but it doesn't matter because he probably wouldnt last long in this one anyway. Big Ben will have to run for his life because his O Line sucks and the Giants have one of the best pass rushes in the league. I dont like how the Giants have been playing lately, so............ Steelers 23-20

Seattle at San Francisco- With a win SF could get back into the race in the NFC West and who knows if Hasselback ever gets back and healthy the Hawks could make a run at the playoffs. They're a talented team but just have been so unhealthy that they've had to play with so many undrafted FA they've had no chance to win. I'll give Seattle a win here because O'Sullivan cant hold on to the ball. Seahawks 24-16

Indianapolis at Tennessee- This is a great game. The Colts absolutely positively need to win this game. Its a great MNF Showdown. Peyton vs the Titans great D. Kerry Collins vs the Colts piece of shit D. Chris Johnson and LenDale White running all over the Colts Bob Sandersless D. I dont know how the Colts could win this game because there is just so much against them in this one but I think Peyton will find a way because he always does. Colts-20-17

NFL WEEK 7 PREVIEW

San Diego at Buffalo- San Diego crushed the Pats and Sunday Night while Trent Edwards is starting his first game after suffering a concussion. Chargers 27-16

Minnesota at Chicago- The Vikings played a terrible game against the Lions but still won 12-10. Adrian Peterson is not running the ball great lately and the Vikes desperately need him to be effective offensively. Kyle Orton has been playing great and gives Da Bears the advantage in this one. Bears 16-13

Pittsburgh at Cincinnati- The Benagls have actually been in all the games they've played this year. The only problem is that they haven't won any of them. Steelers 24-10

Tennessee at Kansas City-The Titans are undefeated and are on top of their game at the moment. The Chiefs however are a terrible team and will be without their only real threat Larry Johnson. Titans 28-13

Dallas at St. Louis-The Boys may or may not have Tony Romo for this one but it won't matter. Cowboys 31-17

Baltimore at Miami- Pennington's arm doesn't fare well in this one. Hid weak arm won't be sucessful against one of the best defenses in the league. Wildcat formation or not Joe Flacco at QB or not the Ravens D will find a way to put points on the board and get the Ravens out of Miami with a win and a .500 record. Ravens 17-13

San Francisco at NY Giants- Coming off a loss the Giants will look to destroy the Niners. San Fran has one of the worst O Lines in the league and the Giants have one of the best pass rushing teams in the league. So look out J.T. O'Sullivan. Giants 34-17

New Orleans at Carolina- The Saints should have Marques Colston and Jeremy Shockey back for this NFC South battle. The South is a very interesting divison this year. Each team is over .500 and within a game of each other. So that makes this one all the more important and with the way Drew Brees and Reggie Bush have been playing lately I'll give the Saints a win going into Carolina. Saints 27-24

Detroit at Houston- This is just an awful game. I feel bad for whoever has to announce this game.
Texans win it who cares about the score.

NY Jets at Oakland- The Jets D has been playing great lately sans the MNF debacle vs the Chargers and second half vs Arizona. They're rushing the passer well and have one of the best run defenses in the league. Farve's been playing up and down but is getting the job done. Jets 23-13

Indianapolis at Green Bay- This is a great game that I wish I could be able to see. Peyton Manning looks like hes back and may have to go back to throwing the ball 40 times again with Addai out for several weeks. Aaron Rodgers is playing hurt but continues to play excellent. This looks like it could be a shootout with Ryan Grant also not being effective. Green Bay needs a win to stay above water but with them being tied for the divison lead not a must win. The Colts on the other hand are chasing an undefeated team and need a win. Colts-34-31

Cleveland at Washington- Another interesting game. Are the Browns back? How will the Redskins react to blowing a huge opportunity in losing to the Rams? Here's my upset I think the Browns will come into Washington and shock the Skins for a second straight week. Browns 24-17

Seattle at Tampa Bay- This is a horrible SNF game. Even John Madden doesn't want to watch this one. There are 5 or 6 games I'd rather see Sunday Night. Bucs 24-10

Denver at New England- Cassell has pretty much sucked so far. The Pats D hasn't exactly been stellar and they dont have much of a running game. The Broncos offense has been explosive but their D will keep the other teams in games. New England is nowhere near where it used to be and I'm pretty sure their reign as AFC East champs are over as either Buffalo or the Jets should win the divison this year. Broncos 27-20

Prediction: The Dodgers will WIN the NLCS in 7 Games

The Reason.
Derek Lowe will be available to pitch Game 4 and Game 7. He is a big game pitcher and would have won Game 1 if it wasn't for Raffy Furcal's throwing error. Game 3 will be a matchup of Hiroki Kuroda vs Jamie Moyer. Kuroda is used to the Japanese baseball season schedule where you only pitch once a week and the stats show that he does much much better when he has five days of rest instead of four. Well he will have extra rest when he pitches tomorow night and pitched excellent in Game 3 of the NLDS vs the Cubs. Meanwhile the 45 year old pitcher may be tired out. I mean how long can you expect this guy to pitch effectively. Most 45 year old men are out of shape and haven't played any kind of sports consistenly since their 30s. Moyer is over 200 innings now for the year and has thrown almost 4,000 innings in his career. His arm is hanging by a thread. Even though he only throws about 80-83 his arm still has to be dead tired. So Game 3 should go to LA. Game 4 will probably be a matchup of Lowe vs Joe Blanton. A big mismatch in my opinion. Blanton pitched well in Game 4 of the NLDS vs the Brewers but the Brewers didnt hit at all in that series. So Game 4 should go to LA giving us a 2-2 tie. I'll say the teams will split Games 5 and 6 giving everyone what they want. A Game 7. And the matchup as it is set up right now will be Lowe vs Moyer. I've given you my opinion on Moyer already so I think you know where I'm going with this. LA in seven.
And don't forget about the man on a salary drive. Here's what Manny said after Game 2:
"It might be time to do some shots of Crown Royal," said Manny Ramirez, who has been there, done that. "I know this, we'll have the music on Sunday in Dodger Stadium and maybe have some fun." Yeah he's tight. Manny, Lowe, and Nomar have been behind 3-0 before so they can impart some knowledge to this group. Not to mention Joe Torre the manager who's team blew to lead. So when LA comes back to take the series, just remember who told ya so.

NFL Week 6 Preview

Bears vs Falcons- Matt Ryan has played well so far in his rookie year but Chicago's D is too tough. Prediction-Bears 24-13

Dolphins vs Texans-The Wildcat formation has worked pretty well in Miami huh? Beating the two teams that were in the AFC Title game last year is a huge step up from the 1 win team they were last year. Dolphins 20-17

Ravens vs Colts- Peyton Manning just finds ways to win games. He's going to get smacked around pretty good against the Ravens but he'll find a way to get a W. Colts 20-13

Lions vs Vikings- The Vikes are coming off a great Monday Night win vs the Saints and should have their way with the Lions. Vikings 27-10

Raiders vs Saints- The Raiders have a new coach but it'll be same old same old as long as Al Davis is around. Saints 31-17

Bengals vs Jets- Fitzpatrick equals blowout. Farve might throw 12 TDs in this one. Jets 30-13

Panthers vs Bucs- This is an important game in the NFC South. The Bucs have Jeff Garcia back at QB which is probably a good thing and their defense is playing as good as ever but the Panthers offense is much improved with Delhomme back throwing the ball and the new and improved running game. Bucs 20-17

Rams vs Redskins- Rams are just awful while the Redskins are playing their best ball in a looooong time. Redskins-28-17

Jaguars vs Broncos- Alot of great games in Week 6 and this is one of them. This is as close as a must win game for the Jags as you can get in Week number 6. The Titans are undefeated and a loss might dash their chances at the division. So even though the Broncos are playing great I'm going with the more desperate team. Jags 24-20

Cowboys vs Cardinals-This is my upset special of the week. This game will be a shootout with many many passes flying around. I'm sure T.0. will get some balls thrown his way in this one. Kurt Warner is the second highest rated passer in the league and is playing like his Greatest Show on Turf days. The Cowboys D looks soft and they were in danger of losing to the Bengals last week. So............... Cardinals 34-31

Eagles vs 49ers- Another must win for a team if they want to win their division. The Eagles need a win to stay with the tough as nails NFC East. They are the best 2-3 team I have ever seen. McNabb hasn't played great since that MNF game vs Cowboys but called out his team this week and needs to back it up. Westbrook and Reggie Brown are out for this game so he will be short in weapons but he knows how big this game is and should be able to pull it out. Eagles 31-24

Packers vs Seahawks-Both these teams are in trouble. They haven't played well at all lately. But Seattle has gotten most of their weapons back and are at home so I'll go with them.
Seahawks 23-21

Pats vs Chargers- These teams are nowhere near the teams they were last year. In fact both are in danger of missing the playoffs. Chargers really need this game and are at home so I'll take my chances with them. Chargers 27-20

Giants vs Browns- Well our streak of great MNF games are over with this one. Giants 38-17

New York Knicks Season Preview

This is the Knicks A team.
Now onto the players.
Projected Starting Lineup
C Zach Randolph
PF David Lee
SF Q Rich(although Wilson Chandler should probably start over him)
SG Jamal Crawford
PG Duhon
Bench
Wilson Chandler
Mardy Collins(should be cut cant shoot, dribble, or pass tough to play in this offense if you cant do any of that)
Eddy Curry
Stephon Marbury
Pat Ewing Jr. (hopefully he can play some D and is very athletic)
Nate Robinson
Danilo Gallinari
Malik Rose
Who will do good in D'Antoni's offense:
Z-Bo
Lee
Q Rich
Crawford
Chandler
Nate
Who should be cut or traded:
Curry
Marbury
Collins
This team will put up some points. They are an althetic bunch who can shoot, dribble, and drive.
David Lee is gonna put up huge numbers in this system. Mark my words. He's gonna be a 20-15 guy. D'Antoni has already raved about Nate and by the looks of the first preseason game he will also thrive in this system. Crawford loves to play the street game with his shooting and dribbling abilities. Z-Bo just loves to shoot. Q-Rich has already had his best year on a D'Antoni coached team and Chandler is the kind of slasher this team needs for it to suceed in this offense.
Best all around player- David Lee- He hustles, rebounds, plays D, is athletic, and is white. If he can hit the 15 footer he will become a star.
Worst player- Mardy Collins- despicable he has a spot on this team.
Best defender- Duhon- has a reputation as a guy who plays tough D.
Worst defender- Z-Bo/Crawford- both cannot keep a guy in front of them.
Best Scorer- Nate/Crawford- both are explosive and can shoot, drive, and are lightning fast.
Can this team suceed and contend for the 8th seed in the Eastern Conference?
Well, considering winning about 38 games would be contending in the East Yes they can. If Lee, Chandler, and Nate can take their games to the next level and Duhon can distribute the ball around evenly, they might even get in. The wild card in this equation is Gallinari, if he can come off the bench and spark the team for 6 or 7 minute stints it might give the team and Knick fans a boost. Q Rich has also lost 15-20 LBs in the offseason so he is ready to run and shoot some threes as well. He is a shut down defender and usually guards the best man on the other team so he is an absolute key. If he can score 10 a game while playing great D he will quite possibly be the most valuable Knick and the reason they suceed, because if the Knicks play any kind of D this year they really have a shot at making the playoffs.
Here are teams you KNOW will make the playoffs:
Boston
Detroit
Cleveland
Here are teams that will most likely make it if things dont go terribly wrong:
Orlando
Toronto
Philly
That leaves two spots in the East with teams like Indiana, Chicago, Miami, Washington, Atlanta, and the Knicks fighting for that spot. I think Miami will get in this year with the D-Wade-Martrix-Beasley combination. And with Washington having all the injuries I think it will finally get to them and they will have a bad year. No one comes to watch the Pacers anymore so that could hurt them and any playoff dreams they had. Atlanta and Chiacgo are both solid teams but if the Knicks do what I said they need to do to win I think they'll have better records then both.
So here's my playoff seeding prediction:
1. Boston
2.Cleveland
3.Detroit
4.Orlando
5.Philly
6.Toronto
7.Miami
8.New York Knickerbockers

New York Knicks Preseason Basketball! ARE YOU READY?

You cant fool me I know you dont want to see these guys in a dark alley. You wouldnt be able to fend off the powers of Mardy Collins and fatman Malik Rose. What about the 5 foot 5 Nate the Great? White boy Dave Lee? Please. New York Knick basketball shooting for the 8th seed! Seriously though I'm pretty omptimistic for this season. D'Antoni brings his run and gun offense and has some players who can thrive in it. Nate, Crawford, Lee, Randolph,Wilson Chandler, and Q Rich are all good fits for the fast break game. And with them keeping up with the Raptors at the moment theyre lookin pretty good. I know I know its only preseason but I have to be optimistic about something.

Orlando Hudson wants to be a Met???

Marty Noble recently wrote the following about Orlando Hudson:
“From what I’m told, Hudson, a free agent, yearns to play for the Mets. I can’t be sure of that. I don’t know him. But what I know of him would suit the Mets’ purposes quite well. Whether or not Hudson wants to play at Citi Field, money will be a factor, and the $18 million owed Castillo can make it an issue.”
I would absolutely love to get Orlando Hudson in a Met uniform. He's a gold glove second basemen and him coming here would end the Luis Castillo era in New York. Hudson would bring his great personality to the clubhouse and I'm sure would mesh well with Jose Reyes. He can be the leader this team so desperately needs. Oh, and he can hit. Orlando hit .305 this year with 8 HR in 107 games. Great production out of your second basement. Plus adding Hudson could make the Mets the best defensive club in the league. Wright, Reyes, Beltran, Hudson, and Santana are all Gold Glove caliber fielders and with Shneider behind the plate that makes a pretty sick fielding club. I believe getting Hudson should be high on Omar's list of priorites somewhere between getting some semblance of a bullpen and signing another starter.

Phillies vs Dodgers NLCS Preview

Well the first round of the MLB Playoffs are complete. It came and went before I could even digest it with no Game 5's anywhere to be seen. The Dodgers annihilated the favored Cubbies winning in three games. The Brew Crew couldn't hit a lick against the Phils dropping in 4. The Rays-White Sox series had some action but nothing to get too excited about with the Rays winning in 4. Now the Angels-Red Sox series was something to get excited about. Each game was decided in the late innings and all games were decided by three runs or less. In Game 1 Jon Lester put runners on base all over but the Angels couldnt get anyone in, Jason Bay killed their chances with a homer late in the game to put them away for good. In Game 2 the all time saves leader, K Rod blew a tie game giving up a two run homer to JD Drew. Game 3 was that 5 hour extra inning game that the Angels eventually won. But in Game 4 it all fell down for the Halos. Lester shut them out again this time in seven innings. They were down 2-0 in the eighth when they tied it off Manny Delcarmen but the Sox came back and won it in the ninth on a Jed Lowrie seeing eye single.

Series Schedule

Game 1: Thursday, October 9, 8 p.m. Los Angeles (Lowe) at Philadelphia (Hamels).

Game 2: Friday, October 10, 4 p.m. Los Angeles (Billingsley) at Philadelphia (Myers).

Game 3: Sunday, October 12, 8 p.m. Philadelphia (Moyer) at Los Angeles (Kuroda).

Game 4 : Monday, October 13, TBA. Philadelphia at Los Angeles.

Game 5 (if necessary): Wednesday, October 15, TBA. Philadelphia at Los Angeles.

Game 6 (if necessary): Friday, October 17, TBA. Los Angeles at Philadelphia.

Game 7 (if necessary): Saturday, October 18, TBA. Los Angeles at Philadelphia.

Pitching- I'd take Lowe-Billingsley-Kuroda over Hamels-Myers-Moyer anyday but the Phils bullpen pretty much evens this up. Both teams have excellent and deep bullpens but the end of the game is where the Phils have the advantage. Anytime you can throw a guy out there who hasn't blown a lead for you all year you have to feel good about yourself in the 9th. Broxton and Lidge are very similar stuff-wise but Lidge has been able to control himself and has not blown up thus far. One thing to look for in this series- close game bottom of the 9th bases juiced Manny up game on the line. Who ya got? I'll take the dreadlocked man thank you very much.

Offense-

Catcher- Martin vs Ruiz- Huge advantage here for the Dodgers. Martin is a great player and may be developing into a leader. He's had big hits vs the Cubs and shows a lot of motion so you know he really wants a ring baddddd.

First Base- Loney vs Howard Advantage- Loney's a nice young hitter and has had a big postseason so far but the big man strikes a lot more fear in pitchers than Loney does.

Second Base- Utley vs DeWitt/Kent- If Kent plays this gets closer but Utley still has the advantage over both and is one of the best hitters in the National League

Shortstop- J-Roll vs Furcal- J-Roll is a leader and even though he wasn't great this year I'd still take a fully healthy Rollins over a somewhat healthy Furcal.

Third Base- Blake vs Feliz- Blake was a nice addition but dosen't do anything to amaze you. Feliz isn't a great player at all. LA finally has the advantage here.

Left Field- Manny being Manny vs Pat the Bat- Manny leaves Pat in the dust here but Burrell is still a dangerous hitter.

Center- Victorino vs Kemp- Kemp has much more talent but Victorino gives you all the intangibles show I see this as a toss up.

Right Field- Werth vs Ethier- both similar players. Both are 20 HR hitters but Ethier hits for a better average, but Werth plays better defense so I'll call this a toss-up as well.

Overall-I think right now I'd take the Dodgers offense because of the man in the middle Manny Ramirez. He is hitting lights out and no one can get him out, while Utley and Howard are struggling so far in the playoffs.

Prediction-Dodgers in seven.

About Me

New York City
It sucks to be me as a sportsfan because here are my teams: Mets, Knicks, and Jets. (Yeah it hurts)
