Knicks Suck Again

Well the happiness I had with the Knicks lasted about a day and a half. The Knicks go back to their sucking ways in fuckin Phila fuckin Delphia. I hate Philadelphia. The Phillies can go to hell and so can Elton Brand and the rest of the Sixers. Lou Williams and Willie Green can suck it. The Knicks were atrocious on the defensive ending alowing Brand to score at will inside and for Lou Williams to get inside any time he wanted. The little fuck drove by whoever was guarding him and laid it up or pulled up with no one putting a hand in his face. The Knicks need a big man bad to protect the hoop because everyone knows Z-Bo is not that man. The other reason the Knicks got raped was the unabilty to hit an outside shot. They shot in the mid 30s percent for the game and when your a outside shooting team and you cant hit an outside shot you are gonna lose. By a lot. And that is exactly what happened tonight. There were stretches in the late first and early second quarter where the Knicks looked good and looked like they might take control of the game getting as close as 3 but then Lou or Brand would inevitably hit a momentum shifting shot. Fuck you Philly its New Yorks time to shine now. Mets, Knicks, Jets, and hell I'll even vote for the Giants to kick the shit out of the Eagles now just cause their from Philly. Knicks can't let this fuck up the rest of their season, they need to play like they did vs Miami and remember they are capable of winning. Ball movement is key and they really need to play some kind of defense. Knicks vs Milwaukee on Sunday. Should be interesting to see how this team responds.

NFL WEEK 8 PREVIEW

Tampa Bay at Dallas- I like Dallas in this one just because they need a win so bad. Not real confident though. Cowboys 24-20

Washington at Detroit- Detroit sucks. Thats all I need to say. Redskins 27-13

Buffalo at Miami- Being a Jet fan I'm really hoping Sparano can pull out some crazy shit to confuse the Bills and I think he will. The Fins need to freshen up the Wildcat because thats the only real way they have a chance at winning. Bills are playing over their head in my opinion and I think Miami will bring them back down to earth. Dolphins 24-17

St. Louis at New England- All of a sudden the Rams are in the NFC West race! How about that. That is really really unbelievable and shows how bad that divison really is. But all of a sudden the Pats are a juggernaut again having crushed the Broncos on MNF. So......... Pats 20-17

San Diego at New Orleans- A couple of teams i thought would be real good this year that have really underachieved so far. Should be interesting though since its a must win for both and in London. With the Saints most dangerous weapon Reggie Bush out I'll give the more talented team the Chargers a victory. Chargers 34-31

Kansas City at New York Jets- All I have to say about this game is the Jets better crush them. Tyler Thigpen should not be able to pull of some miracle shit against them. Blitz the shit out of this fuck and stop playing so conservative Mantitties. And run up the score too go all Belicheck on their ass. Jets 38-10

Atlanta at Philadelphia- Interesting game here. An overachiever vs an underachiever. Not a good matchup for Matt Ryan the Eagles will blitz the crap out of him and he'll probably make a few mistakes and turn the ball over. Eagles 27-17

Oakland at Baltimore- Fuck the Raiders and their fucking kicker Sebastian Jankiowski. They can all go to hell. Especially that fat fuck coach of theirs Tom Cable. He's the Cable Guy hahahahahaha not fucking funny bitches. I hope the Ravens put a bounty on the left leg of Sebastian and break it in two. OK I'm over last weeks loss now. Ravens 16-10

Arizona at Carolina- A matchup of two first place NFC teams. I really like both of these teams. The Cards have an explosive offense and a great front 7 that can really pressure the QB. The Panthers have a tough grinding running game with the tandem of Stewart and DeAngelo Williams. Delhomme is a winning QB and has a couple of good WRs in Steve Smith and Muhammad. Julius Peppers is back this year and causing trouble. I'll give the edge to the home team here. Panthers 27-24

Cleveland at Jacksonville- I thought Cleveland was back after their drubbing of the Giants. But I guess I was wrong. Jax needs a win to stay in the AFC South race and they'll get one here. Jaguars 24-13

Cincinnati at Houston- The Texans have been playing some shitty teams lately haven't they? They'll get back into the playoff race with a win here. Texans 28-17

New York Giants at Pittsburgh- This is the game of the week. I will watch every second of this game. A matchup of two QBs from the 2004 NFL Draft and two smash mouth defenses. Willie Parker may or may not play but it doesn't matter because he probably wouldnt last long in this one anyway. Big Ben will have to run for his life because his O Line sucks and the Giants have one of the best pass rushes in the league. I dont like how the Giants have been playing lately, so............ Steelers 23-20

Seattle at San Francisco- With a win SF could get back into the race in the NFC West and who knows if Hasselback ever gets back and healthy the Hawks could make a run at the playoffs. They're a talented team but just have been so unhealthy that they've had to play with so many undrafted FA they've had no chance to win. I'll give Seattle a win here because O'Sullivan cant hold on to the ball. Seahawks 24-16

Indianapolis at Tennessee- This is a great game. The Colts absolutely positively need to win this game. Its a great MNF Showdown. Peyton vs the Titans great D. Kerry Collins vs the Colts piece of shit D. Chris Johnson and LenDale White running all over the Colts Bob Sandersless D. I dont know how the Colts could win this game because there is just so much against them in this one but I think Peyton will find a way because he always does. Colts-20-17

Last Week 7-7
Overall 17-11

NFL WEEK 7 PREVIEW

San Diego at Buffalo- San Diego crushed the Pats and Sunday Night while Trent Edwards is starting his first game after suffering a concussion. Chargers 27-16

Minnesota at Chicago- The Vikings played a terrible game against the Lions but still won 12-10. Adrian Peterson is not running the ball great lately and the Vikes desperately need him to be effective offensively. Kyle Orton has been playing great and gives Da Bears the advantage in this one. Bears 16-13

Pittsburgh at Cincinnati- The Benagls have actually been in all the games they've played this year. The only problem is that they haven't won any of them. Steelers 24-10

Tennessee at Kansas City-The Titans are undefeated and are on top of their game at the moment. The Chiefs however are a terrible team and will be without their only real threat Larry Johnson. Titans 28-13

Dallas at St. Louis-The Boys may or may not have Tony Romo for this one but it won't matter. Cowboys 31-17

Baltimore at Miami- Pennington's arm doesn't fare well in this one. Hid weak arm won't be sucessful against one of the best defenses in the league. Wildcat formation or not Joe Flacco at QB or not the Ravens D will find a way to put points on the board and get the Ravens out of Miami with a win and a .500 record. Ravens 17-13

San Francisco at NY Giants- Coming off a loss the Giants will look to destroy the Niners. San Fran has one of the worst O Lines in the league and the Giants have one of the best pass rushing teams in the league. So look out J.T. O'Sullivan. Giants 34-17

New Orleans at Carolina- The Saints should have Marques Colston and Jeremy Shockey back for this NFC South battle. The South is a very interesting divison this year. Each team is over .500 and within a game of each other. So that makes this one all the more important and with the way Drew Brees and Reggie Bush have been playing lately I'll give the Saints a win going into Carolina. Saints 27-24

Detroit at Houston- This is just an awful game. I feel bad for whoever has to announce this game.
Texans win it who cares about the score.

NY Jets at Oakland- The Jets D has been playing great lately sans the MNF debacle vs the Chargers and second half vs Arizona. They're rushing the passer well and have one of the best run defenses in the league. Farve's been playing up and down but is getting the job done. Jets 23-13

Indianapolis at Green Bay- This is a great game that I wish I could be able to see. Peyton Manning looks like hes back and may have to go back to throwing the ball 40 times again with Addai out for several weeks. Aaron Rodgers is playing hurt but continues to play excellent. This looks like it could be a shootout with Ryan Grant also not being effective. Green Bay needs a win to stay above water but with them being tied for the divison lead not a must win. The Colts on the other hand are chasing an undefeated team and need a win. Colts-34-31

Cleveland at Washington- Another interesting game. Are the Browns back? How will the Redskins react to blowing a huge opportunity in losing to the Rams? Here's my upset I think the Browns will come into Washington and shock the Skins for a second straight week. Browns 24-17

Seattle at Tampa Bay- This is a horrible SNF game. Even John Madden doesn't want to watch this one. There are 5 or 6 games I'd rather see Sunday Night. Bucs 24-10

Denver at New England- Cassell has pretty much sucked so far. The Pats D hasn't exactly been stellar and they dont have much of a running game. The Broncos offense has been explosive but their D will keep the other teams in games. New England is nowhere near where it used to be and I'm pretty sure their reign as AFC East champs are over as either Buffalo or the Jets should win the divison this year. Broncos 27-20

Last Week 10-4

Prediction: The Dodgers will WIN the NLCS in 7 Games

The Reason.
Derek Lowe will be available to pitch Game 4 and Game 7. He is a big game pitcher and would have won Game 1 if it wasn't for Raffy Furcal's throwing error. Game 3 will be a matchup of Hiroki Kuroda vs Jamie Moyer. Kuroda is used to the Japanese baseball season schedule where you only pitch once a week and the stats show that he does much much better when he has five days of rest instead of four. Well he will have extra rest when he pitches tomorow night and pitched excellent in Game 3 of the NLDS vs the Cubs. Meanwhile the 45 year old pitcher may be tired out. I mean how long can you expect this guy to pitch effectively. Most 45 year old men are out of shape and haven't played any kind of sports consistenly since their 30s. Moyer is over 200 innings now for the year and has thrown almost 4,000 innings in his career. His arm is hanging by a thread. Even though he only throws about 80-83 his arm still has to be dead tired. So Game 3 should go to LA. Game 4 will probably be a matchup of Lowe vs Joe Blanton. A big mismatch in my opinion. Blanton pitched well in Game 4 of the NLDS vs the Brewers but the Brewers didnt hit at all in that series. So Game 4 should go to LA giving us a 2-2 tie. I'll say the teams will split Games 5 and 6 giving everyone what they want. A Game 7. And the matchup as it is set up right now will be Lowe vs Moyer. I've given you my opinion on Moyer already so I think you know where I'm going with this. LA in seven.
And don't forget about the man on a salary drive. Here's what Manny said after Game 2:
"It might be time to do some shots of Crown Royal," said Manny Ramirez, who has been there, done that. "I know this, we'll have the music on Sunday in Dodger Stadium and maybe have some fun." Yeah he's tight. Manny, Lowe, and Nomar have been behind 3-0 before so they can impart some knowledge to this group. Not to mention Joe Torre the manager who's team blew to lead. So when LA comes back to take the series, just remember who told ya so.

NFL Week 6 Preview

Bears vs Falcons- Matt Ryan has played well so far in his rookie year but Chicago's D is too tough. Prediction-Bears 24-13

Dolphins vs Texans-The Wildcat formation has worked pretty well in Miami huh? Beating the two teams that were in the AFC Title game last year is a huge step up from the 1 win team they were last year. Dolphins 20-17

Ravens vs Colts- Peyton Manning just finds ways to win games. He's going to get smacked around pretty good against the Ravens but he'll find a way to get a W. Colts 20-13

Lions vs Vikings- The Vikes are coming off a great Monday Night win vs the Saints and should have their way with the Lions. Vikings 27-10

Raiders vs Saints- The Raiders have a new coach but it'll be same old same old as long as Al Davis is around. Saints 31-17

Bengals vs Jets- Fitzpatrick equals blowout. Farve might throw 12 TDs in this one. Jets 30-13

Panthers vs Bucs- This is an important game in the NFC South. The Bucs have Jeff Garcia back at QB which is probably a good thing and their defense is playing as good as ever but the Panthers offense is much improved with Delhomme back throwing the ball and the new and improved running game. Bucs 20-17

Rams vs Redskins- Rams are just awful while the Redskins are playing their best ball in a looooong time. Redskins-28-17

Jaguars vs Broncos- Alot of great games in Week 6 and this is one of them. This is as close as a must win game for the Jags as you can get in Week number 6. The Titans are undefeated and a loss might dash their chances at the division. So even though the Broncos are playing great I'm going with the more desperate team. Jags 24-20

Cowboys vs Cardinals-This is my upset special of the week. This game will be a shootout with many many passes flying around. I'm sure T.0. will get some balls thrown his way in this one. Kurt Warner is the second highest rated passer in the league and is playing like his Greatest Show on Turf days. The Cowboys D looks soft and they were in danger of losing to the Bengals last week. So............... Cardinals 34-31

Eagles vs 49ers- Another must win for a team if they want to win their division. The Eagles need a win to stay with the tough as nails NFC East. They are the best 2-3 team I have ever seen. McNabb hasn't played great since that MNF game vs Cowboys but called out his team this week and needs to back it up. Westbrook and Reggie Brown are out for this game so he will be short in weapons but he knows how big this game is and should be able to pull it out. Eagles 31-24

Packers vs Seahawks-Both these teams are in trouble. They haven't played well at all lately. But Seattle has gotten most of their weapons back and are at home so I'll go with them.
Seahawks 23-21

Pats vs Chargers- These teams are nowhere near the teams they were last year. In fact both are in danger of missing the playoffs. Chargers really need this game and are at home so I'll take my chances with them. Chargers 27-20

Giants vs Browns- Well our streak of great MNF games are over with this one. Giants 38-17

New York Knicks Season Preview

This is the Knicks A team.
Now onto the players.
Projected Starting Lineup
C Zach Randolph
PF David Lee
SF Q Rich(although Wilson Chandler should probably start over him)
SG Jamal Crawford
PG Duhon
Bench
Wilson Chandler
Mardy Collins(should be cut cant shoot, dribble, or pass tough to play in this offense if you cant do any of that)
Eddy Curry
Stephon Marbury
Pat Ewing Jr. (hopefully he can play some D and is very athletic)
Nate Robinson
Danilo Gallinari
Malik Rose
Who will do good in D'Antoni's offense:
Z-Bo
Lee
Q Rich
Crawford
Chandler
Nate
Who should be cut or traded:
Curry
Marbury
Collins
This team will put up some points. They are an althetic bunch who can shoot, dribble, and drive.
David Lee is gonna put up huge numbers in this system. Mark my words. He's gonna be a 20-15 guy. D'Antoni has already raved about Nate and by the looks of the first preseason game he will also thrive in this system. Crawford loves to play the street game with his shooting and dribbling abilities. Z-Bo just loves to shoot. Q-Rich has already had his best year on a D'Antoni coached team and Chandler is the kind of slasher this team needs for it to suceed in this offense.
Best all around player- David Lee- He hustles, rebounds, plays D, is athletic, and is white. If he can hit the 15 footer he will become a star.
Worst player- Mardy Collins- despicable he has a spot on this team.
Best defender- Duhon- has a reputation as a guy who plays tough D.
Worst defender- Z-Bo/Crawford- both cannot keep a guy in front of them.
Best Scorer- Nate/Crawford- both are explosive and can shoot, drive, and are lightning fast.
Can this team suceed and contend for the 8th seed in the Eastern Conference?
Well, considering winning about 38 games would be contending in the East Yes they can. If Lee, Chandler, and Nate can take their games to the next level and Duhon can distribute the ball around evenly, they might even get in. The wild card in this equation is Gallinari, if he can come off the bench and spark the team for 6 or 7 minute stints it might give the team and Knick fans a boost. Q Rich has also lost 15-20 LBs in the offseason so he is ready to run and shoot some threes as well. He is a shut down defender and usually guards the best man on the other team so he is an absolute key. If he can score 10 a game while playing great D he will quite possibly be the most valuable Knick and the reason they suceed, because if the Knicks play any kind of D this year they really have a shot at making the playoffs.
Here are teams you KNOW will make the playoffs:
Boston
Detroit
Cleveland
Here are teams that will most likely make it if things dont go terribly wrong:
Orlando
Toronto
Philly
That leaves two spots in the East with teams like Indiana, Chicago, Miami, Washington, Atlanta, and the Knicks fighting for that spot. I think Miami will get in this year with the D-Wade-Martrix-Beasley combination. And with Washington having all the injuries I think it will finally get to them and they will have a bad year. No one comes to watch the Pacers anymore so that could hurt them and any playoff dreams they had. Atlanta and Chiacgo are both solid teams but if the Knicks do what I said they need to do to win I think they'll have better records then both.
So here's my playoff seeding prediction:
1. Boston
2.Cleveland
3.Detroit
4.Orlando
5.Philly
6.Toronto
7.Miami
8.New York Knickerbockers

New York Knicks Preseason Basketball! ARE YOU READY?

You cant fool me I know you dont want to see these guys in a dark alley. You wouldnt be able to fend off the powers of Mardy Collins and fatman Malik Rose. What about the 5 foot 5 Nate the Great? White boy Dave Lee? Please. New York Knick basketball shooting for the 8th seed! Seriously though I'm pretty omptimistic for this season. D'Antoni brings his run and gun offense and has some players who can thrive in it. Nate, Crawford, Lee, Randolph,Wilson Chandler, and Q Rich are all good fits for the fast break game. And with them keeping up with the Raptors at the moment theyre lookin pretty good. I know I know its only preseason but I have to be optimistic about something.

Orlando Hudson wants to be a Met???

Marty Noble recently wrote the following about Orlando Hudson:
“From what I’m told, Hudson, a free agent, yearns to play for the Mets. I can’t be sure of that. I don’t know him. But what I know of him would suit the Mets’ purposes quite well. Whether or not Hudson wants to play at Citi Field, money will be a factor, and the $18 million owed Castillo can make it an issue.”
I would absolutely love to get Orlando Hudson in a Met uniform. He's a gold glove second basemen and him coming here would end the Luis Castillo era in New York. Hudson would bring his great personality to the clubhouse and I'm sure would mesh well with Jose Reyes. He can be the leader this team so desperately needs. Oh, and he can hit. Orlando hit .305 this year with 8 HR in 107 games. Great production out of your second basement. Plus adding Hudson could make the Mets the best defensive club in the league. Wright, Reyes, Beltran, Hudson, and Santana are all Gold Glove caliber fielders and with Shneider behind the plate that makes a pretty sick fielding club. I believe getting Hudson should be high on Omar's list of priorites somewhere between getting some semblance of a bullpen and signing another starter.

Phillies vs Dodgers NLCS Preview

Well the first round of the MLB Playoffs are complete. It came and went before I could even digest it with no Game 5's anywhere to be seen. The Dodgers annihilated the favored Cubbies winning in three games. The Brew Crew couldn't hit a lick against the Phils dropping in 4. The Rays-White Sox series had some action but nothing to get too excited about with the Rays winning in 4. Now the Angels-Red Sox series was something to get excited about. Each game was decided in the late innings and all games were decided by three runs or less. In Game 1 Jon Lester put runners on base all over but the Angels couldnt get anyone in, Jason Bay killed their chances with a homer late in the game to put them away for good. In Game 2 the all time saves leader, K Rod blew a tie game giving up a two run homer to JD Drew. Game 3 was that 5 hour extra inning game that the Angels eventually won. But in Game 4 it all fell down for the Halos. Lester shut them out again this time in seven innings. They were down 2-0 in the eighth when they tied it off Manny Delcarmen but the Sox came back and won it in the ninth on a Jed Lowrie seeing eye single.

Series Schedule

Game 1: Thursday, October 9, 8 p.m. Los Angeles (Lowe) at Philadelphia (Hamels).

Game 2: Friday, October 10, 4 p.m. Los Angeles (Billingsley) at Philadelphia (Myers).

Game 3: Sunday, October 12, 8 p.m. Philadelphia (Moyer) at Los Angeles (Kuroda).

Game 4 : Monday, October 13, TBA. Philadelphia at Los Angeles.

Game 5 (if necessary): Wednesday, October 15, TBA. Philadelphia at Los Angeles.

Game 6 (if necessary): Friday, October 17, TBA. Los Angeles at Philadelphia.

Game 7 (if necessary): Saturday, October 18, TBA. Los Angeles at Philadelphia.

Pitching- I'd take Lowe-Billingsley-Kuroda over Hamels-Myers-Moyer anyday but the Phils bullpen pretty much evens this up. Both teams have excellent and deep bullpens but the end of the game is where the Phils have the advantage. Anytime you can throw a guy out there who hasn't blown a lead for you all year you have to feel good about yourself in the 9th. Broxton and Lidge are very similar stuff-wise but Lidge has been able to control himself and has not blown up thus far. One thing to look for in this series- close game bottom of the 9th bases juiced Manny up game on the line. Who ya got? I'll take the dreadlocked man thank you very much.

Offense-

Catcher- Martin vs Ruiz- Huge advantage here for the Dodgers. Martin is a great player and may be developing into a leader. He's had big hits vs the Cubs and shows a lot of motion so you know he really wants a ring baddddd.

First Base- Loney vs Howard Advantage- Loney's a nice young hitter and has had a big postseason so far but the big man strikes a lot more fear in pitchers than Loney does.

Second Base- Utley vs DeWitt/Kent- If Kent plays this gets closer but Utley still has the advantage over both and is one of the best hitters in the National League

Shortstop- J-Roll vs Furcal- J-Roll is a leader and even though he wasn't great this year I'd still take a fully healthy Rollins over a somewhat healthy Furcal.

Third Base- Blake vs Feliz- Blake was a nice addition but dosen't do anything to amaze you. Feliz isn't a great player at all. LA finally has the advantage here.

Left Field- Manny being Manny vs Pat the Bat- Manny leaves Pat in the dust here but Burrell is still a dangerous hitter.

Center- Victorino vs Kemp- Kemp has much more talent but Victorino gives you all the intangibles show I see this as a toss up.

Right Field- Werth vs Ethier- both similar players. Both are 20 HR hitters but Ethier hits for a better average, but Werth plays better defense so I'll call this a toss-up as well.

Overall-I think right now I'd take the Dodgers offense because of the man in the middle Manny Ramirez. He is hitting lights out and no one can get him out, while Utley and Howard are struggling so far in the playoffs.

Prediction-Dodgers in seven.

About Me

New York City
It sucks to be me as a sportsfan because here are my teams: Mets, Knicks, and Jets. (Yeah it hurts)
